Shri Madan Kumar

Born on 8th March, 1969 at Village Rajiar, District Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, in the family of late Smt. Bhagti Devi and late Sh. K.R. Sharma. Passed Matriculation examination from Government High School, Dera Parol, District Hamirpur. Thereafter, did B.A, LL.B, PGDPM & LW, BJMC and LL.M. Enrolled as an Advocate in January, 1995. Thereafter, practiced before Hon’ble High Court w.e.f. 1995 to October, 1999 and was appointed as Sub Judge-Cum-Judicial Magistrate on 5th November, 1999 and remained posted at Dehra, Nurpur and Indora. Promoted as, Civil Judge Senior Division-Cum-JMIC in July, 2006, remained posted at Nalagarh and Theog. On placement as CJM-Cum-Civil Judge-Senior Division remained posted at Mandi, Additional Secretary (Law) to the Government of H.P. and CJM, Shimla. On promotion as Additional District & Sessions Judge in December, 2014, remained posted as Additional District & Sessions Judge-II, Mandi uptil May, 2016, Additional District & Sessions Judge-I, Una uptil October, 2016, Additional District & Sessions Judge-I, Shimla uptil December, 2018, Special Secretary (Law) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh uptil June, 2019 and on transfer again posted as Additional District & Sessions Judge-II, Shimla uptil July, 2021. Thereafter, transferred as Special Judge, POCSO Court at Solan. On placement, posted as District & Sessions Judge (Leave/ Training Reserve) uptil 30.12.2023. Therafter, posted as Registrar (GAD/JB/Protocol) uptil 4.11.2024. Presently, upon transfer, assumed the charge of District and Sessions Judge, Kinnaur at Rampur Bushahr, under Kinnaur Civil and Sessions Division, on 05.11.2024.
