Hon’ble Mr. Justice Romesh Verma

Born on 7th May, 1974, in District Shimla, H.P. Did matriculation from D.A.V. Senior Secondary School, Sector 8, Chandigarh. Graduated from Government College Sanjauli, Shimla. Being an active participant in various activities like Debate, Youth Festivals and Quiz Competitions, had won various prizes and medals. Obtained the degree of Law from Himachal Pradesh University in the year 1999.Enrolled as a Lawyer with the Bar Council of Himachal Pradesh in October, 1999 and commenced practice under the guidance of his Father Shri G.D. Verma, Senior Advocate.Practiced in all branches of Law. Mainly practiced in the High Court, however, in the initial years of practice, appeared before the Trial Courts and Revenue Courts. Remained Counsel for High Court of Himachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh Technical University, The Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Limited, The Himachal Pradesh Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation and represented various Public and Private Sector Companies, Boards, Corporations, Kangra Central Cooperative Bank and Oriental Bank. Was appointed as the Additional Advocate General in February, 2013 and remained on the post till 2017. Contested important cases concerning State affairs during this period.Was appointed Commissioner by the High Court of Himachal Pradesh in several cases.Was designated as Senior Advocate in December, 2022. Got elevated as Judge of High Court of Himachal Pradesh and assumed Office on 6th October, 2025.
